Let me introduce myself…

My name is Shelly Qualtieri. I am a Registered Social Worker with the Alberta College of Social Workers. I have been supporting people in a variety of ways for over 25 - years.

I love working in private practice and supporting people, both big and small - I am also very passionate about suicide awareness and prevention - I am a certified Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Trainer (ASIST), SafeTALK, Tattered Teddies (ages 6 - 12), and Straight Talk (ages 13-17) trainer, additionally I am a facilitator with the Crisis Trauma Resource Institute and ACHIEVE Centre for Leadership & Workplace Performance.

I have experience in front line positions and for over 12 - years in management roles working with teams as small as 8 and departments as large as 60. I have been fortunate to work in a variety of areas throughout my career in both the government and not-for-profit sector within Canada and Australia.

Self care and life…

I believe that taking care of your self is essential - it can be tough to make this a priority with a very busy family! I love being outdoors, travel, spending time with family and friends, and a great kick boxing session!
