Lorena Koenig
Good fit for women navigating perimenopause, chronic pain, or burnout
I support women in their 30s, 40s, and 50s who feel exhausted, foggy, irritable, or overwhelmed by perimenopause, chronic pain, autoimmune illness, or burnout. My approach is collaborative, validating, and whole-self. We look at your physical, emotional, and mental well-being together. If you want weekend therapy with someone who understands the overlap between hormones, health, mood, and daily functioning, I offer a grounded space to feel seen and supported.
Credentials: Registered Social Worker
Specialty Areas: Perimenopause and menopause mental health, chronic pain and invisible illness, emotional burnout, medical trauma, couples therapy
Adrianna Rabeda-Kowalczak
Good fit for adults managing anxiety, OCD, or perfectionism
I work with young adults, adults, and seniors who feel stuck in anxiety, OCD, panic, perfectionism, or constant emotional overwhelm. My style is honest, compassionate, and skills-focused. We will look at the patterns keeping you stuck while building tools that help you feel more grounded and in control. If you want therapy on weekends with a Registered Psychologist in Calgary, I offer support in English and Polish, with a Spanish-friendly approach.
Credentials: Registered Psychologist
Specialty Areas: Anxiety (social, health, phobias, panic), depression, OCD, people-pleasing and perfectionism, life transitions, and identity shifts
Puja Patel
Good fit for those healing from narcissistic abuse or codependency
If your weekdays are spent holding it together for a difficult partner, family member, workplace, or relationship dynamic, a weekend session may be the first space where you can speak honestly. I help individuals and couples heal from narcissistic abuse, codependency, and relational trauma. My approach is warm, grounding, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive, with counselling available in English, Hindi, and Gujarati. If you’re looking for therapists available on weekends, I offer a safe space to rebuild trust in yourself, strengthen boundaries, and create healthier connections.
Credentials: Registered professional counsellor (CCC), Registered Psychotherapist of Ontario, CRPO
Specialty Areas: Recovery from narcissistic and emotional abuse, premarital and couples therapy, codependency, childhood, and relational trauma
Jade Cloghesy
Good fit for families, children, and neurodiverse clients
Weekends are often the only time families can attend therapy together without juggling school pickups and shift work, which is why I offer Saturday and Sunday sessions. I work with families, couples, children 6+, and neurodiverse clients managing autism, ADHD, OCD, trauma, and emotional dysregulation. I recognize that finding a Calgary weekend therapist trained specifically in child and family work, neurodiversity, and trauma all at once is uncommon—that combination is the heart of my practice. If you or your loved one is struggling, I’m here to support you.
Credentials: Licensed Professional Canadian Counsellor
Specialty Areas: Couples and family therapy, childhood and family trauma, neurodiversity (autism, ADHD, OCD), grief and loss, emotional dysregulation, anxiety, depression
Lesley Tims
Good fit for athletes and high-performing professionals
Athletes train on weekends, executives recharge on weekends, and both groups rarely have room in their schedule for traditional Monday-to-Friday therapy. That's where I come in. As a Registered Provisional Psychologist and Provisional Sports Psychologist, I offer Saturday and Sunday sessions for athletes of all levels, business leaders, and high-achieving professionals navigating performance pressure, burnout, and identity shifts. Dual training in clinical and sport psychology is genuinely rare in Calgary—especially on weekends—so if you’ve been struggling to find this combination, I’m here to help.
Credentials: Registered Provisional Psychologist
Specialty Areas: Sports psychology and mental performance, focus, confidence and mindset, corporate and senior leadership stress and burnout recovery, life transitions and identity shifts, LGBTQIA2S+ individuals, neurodiversity

FAQs about weekend therapy
-
Yes, some Calgary therapists do offer weekend appointments, but they can be harder to find than weekday sessions. At Shelly Qualtieri & Associates, we intentionally offer therapy on Saturdays and Sundays because we know life doesn’t always fit neatly into business hours. Weekend therapy can be a helpful option for working professionals, parents, students, shift workers, and anyone who needs support outside the usual Monday-to-Friday schedule.
-
Absolutely. Therapy on weekends can be just as effective as therapy during the week. What matters most is finding the right therapist, attending consistently, and having space to apply what you are working on between sessions. Many clients actually prefer therapy on the weekends because they feel less rushed, more present, and better able to reflect after their appointment.
-
No, our weekend therapy sessions are billed at the same rate as weekday sessions. Fees are based on your therapist’s credentials, registration, and services provided, not the day of the week. We also provide detailed receipts that you can submit to your extended health benefits provider for possible reimbursement.
-
Yes. Our weekend therapists offer secure virtual sessions across Alberta, so you can access support even if you are outside Calgary. Virtual therapy can be a great fit if you travel often, live in a smaller community, share a busy household, or simply feel more comfortable meeting from your own space. Select clinicians are also registered to work with clients in Ontario.
-
We do our best to help you get started quickly. Because Shelly Qualtieri & Associates offers weekend therapy with no waitlist, many new clients are able to book a free 30-minute consultation within days. From there, we will help match you with a therapist whose availability, specialty, and approach fit what you are looking for.
-
We work with many major insurance providers and provide detailed receipts after each session for reimbursement. Coverage depends on your specific benefits plan and the type of clinician you see. We recommend checking with your insurance provider before your first appointment so you know what is covered.
