In-person in Calgary & Virtual Across Alberta
Are you feeling overwhelm, confusion, and stress with your partner or family and wanting to make sense of it all, while trying to figure out how it can begin to feel more manageable and connected?
I work with children and families navigating emotional, behavioural, and neurodevelopmental challenges. I help children better understand themselves while supporting caregivers to respond with confidence, clarity, and practical strategies that work in everyday life.
I help families make sense of their inner world, where overwhelm, confusion, and stress can begin to feel more manageable. I create a space where discomfort becomes insight, and insight becomes meaningful, lasting change. My approach is grounded in compassion, curiosity, and deep respect for each family’s unique story, blending a human-centered style with evidence-informed practices.
My goal is to help you and your family feel more connected, supported, and capable—building resilience, restoring balance, and creating a home environment where everyone can thrive. Together, we move at your pace, creating small, impactful shifts that lead to clarity, growth, and sustainable change over time.
Therapy with me is empowering and Transformative.
I help you break patterns, build new perspectives, and guide you into meaningful, lasting change.

Let’s Work Together
Understand, heal, and strengthen the relationships that matter most.
At the heart of every relationship is a need to feel safe, understood, and connected. When that connection is disrupted, through stress, conflict, life transitions, or unmet emotional needs, it can leave individuals and families feeling stuck, disconnected, or overwhelmed.
I specialize in working with couples, families, and children, with a special focus on supporting neurodiverse individuals and those navigating emotional and behavioural challenges. My approach helps you uncover the deeper emotional experiences that shape how you relate to others, especially in moments of conflict.”
Together, we will go beyond surface-level behaviours to understand the “why” beneath them. We will begin to shift patterns of reactivity, disconnection, or miscommunication into opportunities for repair, understanding, and deeper emotional bonding.
Lorena is a Registered Social Worker in Alberta with the Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW), British Columbia College of Social Workers, and Ontario College of Social Workers, Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW).
